OSIRIS Progressive rock band was made in Bahrain 1979

OSIRIS,  an all-Bahraini "progressive  rock band" quite  unique in  the Middle East, have been  writing songs for their concert in Bahrain since 1981.  Three albums have been  released  till now.  (Osiris Val 1, 1982) , (Myth & Legend 1986) , (Reflection 1989).
In  early 1984  OSIRIS  decided to work  on a  concept  album. This  was to be completely  new style of music mixing local traditional music with western  progressive rock "Tales of the  Divers (Bahrain's proud heritage) is to be release soon. It was produced  live at the Gulf Hotel in 1985.  The Disc is a happy blend of Arabic music and progressive rock. When the number  was performed at the Gulf Hotel, OSIRIS had a pearl divers film projected on screen to accompany the  lyrics.

2nd  concept  was decided  in 1993  "Vision  from  the Past"  which  aims  to incorporate a stronger influence of traditional  and  pure  Bahraini  music,  in a "rockized"  version. The  new  project  will  introduce  a view  of  the changing times in Bahrain, seen through the eye of an old man. The project will feature music  and English  lyrics, interlaced with Arabic poetry by local poet Essa Hijris.  This concept will be  performed in March 30th 2000, at Al Ahli Club...
