Chapter three. TRAINING.

She was up before the sun, though a light shade of pink
peeked over the mountians. She sighed, and began stretching,
waiting for Naruto to get there.
  She looked different
that morning, instead of her flowing white skirt, and brown
top, she wore dark blue shorts, showing her toned legs, and
a white tank top, that hugged her curves. She was wearing
different shoes today as well, much like the ones -everyone-
wore. She sighed again as she placed a small bottle into the
pouch that was on her leg.
  "CHEEEILACHEILA-saaan!" Naruto
came running down the road, waving to her. He too looked
different, only because he was not wearing his usual orange
jacket. In it's place, a black t-shirt.

"Shh...Naruto-kun.." She smiled, and tilted her head to the
side. "People are still asleep.."
  He grinned, and rubbed
the back of his head as he stood in front of her. "Heh!
Sorry, Cheila-san"
"It's alright, now.." She stood, feet
apart, and hands on her hips "We should stretch before
running, to be sure not to pull anything." She lifted her
hands in the air, and he nodded, then copied her movments.

"Now, Naruto-kun, we're going to run the entire village...
are you sure you're up to it..?"
   "OF COOURSE!!" He
grinned, and clenched his fists.
   "Good. Now, attach
these to your ankles." She held up some wights.
   "WHAT?!
What for?!" He took them, and nearly fell over.
   "Because,
if you train your body to move swiftly under such heavy
weight, when you remove them in fights... "
  "I'll move
even FASTER!! Just like FUZZY EYEBROWS!!!" He grinned again,
and strapped the weights to his ankles, then got to his
feet, and gave her a thumbs up as she nodded.
  "We'll run
at a steady pace, no slower, no faster, ready, Naruto-kun?"
He nodded, and the two took off, faster than a jog, but
slower than a full on sprint. They ran in silence, aside
from Cheila's occasional reminder to breathe properly.
  The
sun came up when they were half done, Naruto was gritting
his teeth as his whole body ached, and throbbed. But he
pushed on, running right along side Cheila. She kept a close
eye on him, and got a little worried when the sun came
out..it was going to be another hot day. She pulled the
bottle from her pouch, careful not to break stride. She
handed it to him.
  "Here, Naruto-kun..drink some of
this.."
"WAATER!!" He gasped for air, and snatched it
from her, taking a long drink, and almost spitting it out
when it touched is lips. "EEUGH! CHeila-san! This is
terrible! what is it..?"
She giggled a little, and took
the bottle, taking a sip herself. "I call it Chakra juice."
She tucked it away in the pouch, as Naruto tilted his head.

"So it's like a magic potion..?" They turned, and ran down
the road the academy was on.
  "Well...in a sense. You see,
it has herbs in it, comparable to ginsing.. this will clear
your mind of any toxins, and refresh your body, allowing you
to go further.." She smiled a little to him, both of them
running over a small bridge, still side by side.

"YAAATTAA!!!" He grinned again. She laughed, and shook her
head, then spotted Yui outside, her class lined up in front
of her.
"Yui-chaan!" She waved as she and Naruto ran
passed the group.
"Eh..?" Yui looked up, and blinked,
giving a slight wave back to Cheila, a confused look on her
face. Cheila just smiled, and kept running with Naruto.

"What the heck is she doing with Naruto-idiot..?" Yui
rubbed her chin.
   "It appears she was running,
Yui-sensei!" A boy called out from the back.
   "....DON'T
BE A SMARTASS!!!" She whacked him as hard as she could with
her giant paper fan. He fell to the ground.
  "THAT'S IT! I
want 3,000 kicks to the practice dummies! THEN I want 3,000
more PUNCHES! If anyone can't finish, you will be here with
me until YOU CAN!!" The students all stood in front of their
dummies, made of straw, and began kicking. None of them
complaining, that would just mean more work.
  Iruka looked
out the window at this from his classroom, and shook his
head. "Idiot.." He grunted, then looked back to his
students, who were all taking a written test at the moment.

"YOU!!" Yui rested her fan on her shoulder as she walked
over to a boy who slipped, and missed a kick.
  "Start over.
And now, DO IT 5,000 TIMES!!!" And she smacked him with her
fan again. He got to his feet, and went back to kicking.

"Almost! Come on, Naruto-kun!" He was lagging now, his
face flushed, and he was sweating.
   "Going...to
....die....Cheila...san.." He tried very hard to push on.

"Come on, make it to that field, and we can take a break.."
She pointed to an open field, with a huge tree in the
middle, surrounded by swaying green grass. Just off to the
side was a small stream, that seemed to sparkle in the
sunlight.
"Yeaaahhh!!!" Naruto went into a sprint, and
flopped down under the tree, letting the breeze brush his
face. Cheila poked him. "You need to stretch again, or
you'll cramp.." She smiled, as she began to stretch, he
reluctantly got to his feet, and once again, followed her
moves.
When finished, Cheila took a seat under the tree,
sitting on her knees. Naruto, was sprawled out, eyes closed.

"Take another drink ..." She handed him the bottle.

"AAAAggghh....do I HAAAVE to..?" He opened one eye to glare
at her a little.
"Yes.. we have much more to do,
Naruto-kun.." She smiled a sweet smile as he took the
bottle, and downed more of the chakra juice.
  "Good... now
sit up." She set the bottle to the side as he grunted,
sitting indian style next to her, the breeze blowing again.
"Not only should you work your body..but after watching
ninja fight... I learned that you should have a strong,
concentrated mind. You can remove those weights, and get
relaxed as possible..." She smiled again, looking down at
him. He nodded, and removed the weights, tossing them to the
side. "AAAAHHH..." He sat back against the tree, and closed
his eyes.
"Don't you dare fall asleep, Naruto-kun.." She
giggled, then looked forward, closing her eyes as well. "Try
and focus.. hear everything.. clear your mind, and relax."
She took a deep breath. "Make sure to breathe..." Natruto
sighed, and took a deep breath as well, he listened
carefully to the world around him, his mind relaxing, almost
completley.
"Now..." She spoke softly.. so as not to
disturb the meditation. "Visualize the chakra flowing freely
through your body....." He took another deep breath as he
listened to her. "Continue to focus on the world around
you...be aware of all things that surround you..but be aware
of your own presence..." She allowed to let her voice trail
off, as she went through this process as well.
Naruto stayed
amazingly quiet. He listened to the world, and allowed his
body to relax. He could hear everything so clearly. He was
even able to detect a humming bird getting a drink of nectar
from across the stream. They sat like this for hours.

"And... open your eyes... " She turned, and smiled at him,
taking another deep breath. He opened his eyes, and looked
up at her, smiling a little.
  "I feel... clear..
refreshed..." He smiled again.
  "Perfect.. Good job,
Naruto-kun!" She pat him on his head, and got to her feet.
"Let's go cool off a little~!" She laughed a bit, as she
walked down to the stream, taking a seat on the side, and
slowly resting her feet in the cool water. Naruto laughed as
he followed her, tossing off his shirt and shoes, then
making a decent sized splash into the water. Cheila giggled,
and shileded herself from the splashing water.

"Naruto-kun!" She leaned back as he splashed her. He then
stopped, and looked off into a gathering of trees.

"Cheila-san..." His eyes became dead serious.. and she
turned her head to look. "What is it, Naruto-KU----!!!!"
Before she could finish, Naruto grabbed her by the arm, and
yanked her right into the water, she splashed in, face
first.
"HAHA! I got you..... ... Cheila-san..?" Her body
was limp, she floated along with the slow moving water, face
down. "CHEILA-SAN!!" He swam next to her, and grabbed her
shoulder "I'm SORRY CHEI---" Before he could finish, she
spit water in his face, and bursted out into a sweet
sounding laughter. He looked dumbfounded for a moment, then
joined in with her, laughing rather loud.
  "Hmph.. " A
voice came from behind them. They both turned to see who was
there. It was Sasuke, both hands in his pockets. "I see
you're still goofing off, Naruto.."
  "SAASUKKEE!!" Naruto
lunged forward a little, pointing at Sasuke. "YOU'RE not
training either!! Where the hell is Kakashi-sensei??!"
Sasuke scoffed and closed his eyes. "I'm done training for
the day.. we actually -did- something.. .. hmph." Naruto
scowled and chucked a rock at Sasuke, who merley deflected
it with the back of his hand. "Have fun goofing off,
Naruto... you'll be sorry in a few weeks.." Sasuke walked
off, calmly.
  "Grrggh.... SAAASUKEE!!" Nartuo clenched his
fists, and Cheila put her hands over his.
 "There..right
there... Naruto-kun.." He looked up, blinking. "You let your
anger blind you. You musn't be hasty.. or rush into things.
That could lead to something fatal.Never allow yourself to
lose control. Keep yourself tamed. Do not supress your
anger, but vent it when the time is right. This is where the
meditation comes in to play.. keep that feeling inside of
you always, and release it when you feel like you're about
to lose control. And, then, you can win any battle.. and you
can do anything... alright..?" She had that motherly tone to
her voice again
  "....Alright, Cheila-san..I'll try.." He
grinned, and nodded.
"Good!" She giggled as she pulled
herself out of the water. "Now, what say we test it..?" He
grinned, and nodded, following her out of the water, pulling
on his shirt and shoes again.

  They walked into the
middle of a dark forest area, and Cheila pointed to a huge
tree. "I know Kakashi-sama had you do something like this
early on, but, I want you to walk up this tree, and stand on
the bottom, of that branch.." She pointed up, to a thick
branch that was a good hundred feet up.
  He gulped, and
stared up at the branch. "No! Naruto-kun..! You must have
confidence.. you CAN do this, with ease... Now, clear your
mind.. and go.. walk slowly up the side, and stop at the
branch.." She pointed, and took a step back as her nodded,
and closed his eyes, imagining the field, sitting with
Cheila, and the breeze.. he walked towards the tree. His
firs attempt, he fell, right on his bottom, the second
attempt he got just a little further, almost half way up the
tree, then fell again, he must have done this fifty more
times before he even came close.
  "DAMNIT!!!" He fell
again, and panted, forcing himself to his feet.

"Naruto-kun... you can do it.. I know you can.." She smiled,
putting her hands behind her back, and he nodded once. "But,
you have to believe you can..." He turned, and stared at the
tree, and closed his eyes, trying to take his mind back to
the meditation session.. smelling the smells...breathing the
air.. and with his eyes closed, he walked towards the
tree...then focusing his chakra in his feet, he took the
first step...perfect. He walked slowly to the branch, and
stood on the bottom half of it. He opened his eyes, and
grinned.
"CHEILAAA!! I DID---" He started to slip.

"..!! Naruto-kun, don't lose it! Keep focused..!" Naruto
took a deep breath, and stayed upside down like that, for a
good two or three minutes.
  "Good job, Naruto-kun! come
walk back down now..!" he calmly made his way back down the
tree, hopping down, and walking to Cheila.
 "I DID IT..!!"
She smiled, and nodded once, then patted his head. "One more
lesson for the day, then I'll treat you to some ramen.." He
jumped up in the air, and nodded vigerously.
  "AALRIGHT!"

"Doing the same thing. Under pressure. I'm going to hurl
kunai at you continuously, and ..I want you to do exactly
what you just did. Alright?" It was true, she could use
kunai fairly well, mostly for self defense. Her friends,
Asuma and Iruka had taught her a few things..
  "You got
it!!!" He nodded, then turned back towards the tree,
completley confident she could never hit him, when a kunai
whizzed by his face, sticking in the tree.
 "And,
Naruto-kun.." She smiled a little "Don't doubt my
accuracy.." He gulped, and started up the tree, while Chiela
ran around, hurling kunai at him, coming eerily close a few
times. He made it though, and stuck his tounge out at her
when he was upside down in the branch.
  "Nyaaahnyaah
Cheilaaa-san!" Suddenly, he was hit with a blunt object in
the back of his head, and he fell face first to the ground,
landing with a loud THUD.
 "Naruto-kun!!!" Cheila rushed to
his side as he sat up, rubbing his head. "OW OW OW OW!!!
WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?!!?" He squirmed about, holding his
head. Cheila looked up.
 "...? Wha..... OH!!" She turned
red, and that's when Naruto knew. "KAKASHI-SENSEII!!! THAT
-HURT!!- " He got to his feet, and shook his fist at
Kakashi, who was perched in a tree, obviously smirking.

"Cheila was missing on purpose, Naruto. Don't get cocky." He
leaped down, and landed with ease, then walked over to the
two.
"Yo. Cheila" He waved a hand, and she got to her feet
quickly, still blushing, a bright red.
  "H...ho..how are
you.... Kakashi-sama....?" She avoided all eye contact,
looking to the ground.
 "Hungry" He leaned forward. "I
thought I heard someone mention treating to ramen, if I
climb that tree, can I have ramen too, Cheila..?" He smiled
again, obviously trying to be cute. Cheila found this
amusing, and held back a little giggle as she blushed more,
and shook her head. "I will treat... at no cost to you....
Kakashi-sama....." He nodded once, then knocked the top of
Naruto's head with his fist. "Come on, Naruto. The nice lady
is treating to ramen." Naruto made a gunty face, then got to
his feet, running ahead, yelling and declaring his absolute
love for ramen, leaving Kakashi and Cheila behind. She could
barley walk. Though, she managed, and headed off for the
ramen place, walking next to Kakashi, who didn't say or do
much, just walked along calmly, hands in his pockets. It was
like that the whole way there, Cheila kept her head down,
and walked silently as she blushed. Kakashi didn't seem to
notice, and kept his eyes forward. By the time they got
there, Naruto was on his second bowl.
 "FINAALLLLYY!!" He
slurped up a noodle. "I thought you two got LOST.... " He
lowered his eyes as Kakashi was about to speak. "LIAR." He
cut him off before he could come up with an excuse, then
went back to eating. Kakashi took a seat next to him,
ordering whatever it was he wanted, and pulled out his book,
reading while he waited. Cheila took a seat slowly next to
Kakashi, still a bright red. She looked up only once, to try
and see exactly what it was he was reading all the time. And
at that angle, she got a pretty good look. This caused her
to blush more, and she looked down again.
  "PERVERT!!"
Suddenly, out of nowhere, Kakashi was the one hit.. with a
huge paper fan. Yui scoffed as he turned around, rubbing his
head. "Ow."
"That's what you get.. PERVERT!.. honestly.."
She sighed, and sat down next to Cheila. Kakashi blinked,
and went back to reading.
  "That wasn't nice..Yui-chan.."
She smiled a little, resting her hands in her lap as she
turned slilghtly, looking to Yui.
  "Yeaaah yeah. He
deserved it." She grunted, and rested her chin in her hands,
as this time, she was not so much hit by something, but
someone shoved her out of her seat. Iruka grinned, and sat
down, where Yui used to be sitting. Cheila's eyes went wide,
and she tried not to giggle.
  "Y..Yui-..chan..?" Yui rose
to her feet, clenching her fists.
  "IIIRUUUKAAAA..." And
WHACK she punched him in the back of his head, then sat on
the other side, so all the seats were taken, Naruto,
Kakashi, Cheila, Iruka, and Yui sat and conversed over ramen
that night, discussing plans for the upcoming festival. Yui
was in charge of food, and Iruka had quite a bit of
complaining to do. They laughed it up.
  "Well, either way..
I wouldn't eat your cooking if it was the ONLY thing left on
the entire PLANET." He sat back a little, shaking his head,
and she punched him in the arm as hard as she could, this
made him stumble a little.
   "Yui-sensei really has a hard
time getting along with people.." Naruto finished up his
ramen, and peeked past Kakashi to loot at Cheila, who
nodded. "She's... headstrong..." She laughed a little, and
Kakashi looked down at her, shaking his head.
  "She's
evil." Cheila blushed when he looked at her, but laughed at
his joke. "To some.. I suppose she is.." Kakashi nodded,
dead serious about the idea. Yui grunted, and smacked Iruka
in the back of the head, as well as Cheila and Kakashi as
she walked by.
"Gah! Yui.. you're SOME KIND OF DEMON..!"
Iruka growled at her.
"Ow..! Why did you hit -me-...?"
Cheila rubbed the back of her head.
  "Ow." Kakashi just
looked at her, then went back to reading his book.
"Cheila.
You're conversing with the enemy. Kakashi. I hate you.
Iruka..." She smirked "See you tomorrow. We're teaching a
class together.." She waved once, and walked off. Iruka
nearly choked on his ramen. "AAGH! NO!!" He grunted, and got
to his feet. "I guess I better get a good nights sleep
then... tomorrows going to be a looong day..." He waved as
well, and headed off in another direction.
  "Naruto-kun..
are you all finished..? I'll walk you home.." She gave him
another one of her sweet smiles as she stood up.

"Yeaaaah.." He yawned, and stretched, standing up as well.
"HEY. You coming Kakashi-sensei.?" He grinned, and tilted
his head
"I suppose a walk could be good." He nodded, and
walked alongside Cheila, while Naruto walked slightly ahead.
It was the same as before, only now Kakashi was reading.

"I hope I'm not as boring when I'm old like you guys.."
Naruto was walking with his arms behind his head. Kakahi
peeked out from his book and blinked.
  They managed to
walk all the way to Naruto's, without saying a word.

"GOODNIGGGHTT CHEILACHEILA-SAN!! ... goodnight
Kakashi-sensei." He waved once, and left the two alone.
Cheila looked up at Kakashi, something she never thought to
do. This made her blush more. He smiled.
  "You going to be
alright walking home?"
  "Yes....I... I'll be fine......"
She smiled a bit, and nodded.
  "Alright then. See you." He
waved, and turned, walking the other way, going back to his
book. Cheila sighed, and turned, heading back to the medical
clinic. She lived there.. in a tiny room in the back.

"Kakashi-sama..." She smiled to herself, and blushed as she
made her way down a dark road, that was near a large amount
of big, dark trees. She was being watched. He crossed his
arms, and pushed his glasses up his nose. He was told about
her. About what she was doing, helping that...Naruto. He
vanished from his spot in the tree, and made sure not to get
caught as he followed her all the way back to her home. He
hid in the alley beside the clinic as she went inside with a
sigh. He waited a good half an hour. Then crashed through
the window. Cheila didn't even have time to scream. He came
from behind, and grabbed her, knocking her in the back of
the head, knocing her out cold, and vanishing with her under
his arm......
